Talked to my counselor today. Got an appointment again tomorrow. We're going to work on a plan to make me sound somewhat stable so they don't think I'm just trying to get free meds when I go to the healthcare clinic. I'm going to see if I can't get meds for my anxiety and depression and see if they can't get me a sleep study set up for my sleep apnea. Once I get my mind right, and I can start building momentum in the right direction then I can start exploring custody options, because maybe I can go back to work at a decent paying job. Right now, my boss is essentially paying my rent and I'm working it off. If I get caught up on child support in the next few months, I can stop making back payments and have a little more money in my pocket.

lol just to clarify though, i didn't "tell" my wife to stay at home. she has her own mind and i wouldnt undermine her like that post of yours sounded. thats my sanity right there.

my wifes a teacher with a degree, anything from pre-school up to secondary school she can cover, so it not only made sense for her to stay home but that 1-2-1 teaching and interaction is beneficial for my daughter.

eventually my wife will return to work, she can take home £3000+ a month after tax, maybe not yet though - we want another kid at some point but long-term that will be the plan. it just makes more sense for her to stay home and me keep us afloat financially for now.
