im disappointed in the shows direction with littlefinger. he went from a mastermind schemer, pretty much the BEST in the books, varys and them maybe his equal. but in the show not only does he blunder and sell sansa to the boltons, but now he's just a sniveling worm skulking around with no purpose other than being a simp faggot

he should poison brienne, kill sansa, and go steal bran off the wall and take the north somehow

basically the show wrote him out.

Peak of the episode was the Dany/Varys back and forth. The back to back episodes exploring the Sansa/Jon dynamic in front of everyone was a bit much, but it was in service of speeding everything up to get to the dope shit so okay.

Dany/Jon meet up next week. I predict the week after that ends with Bran coming to Winterfell and sending a raven to Jon about his parentage. Then two episodes heavy on battles, then the typical type of season finale.

I don't think that's how the season ends.

You would think that Jon and Dany uniting against the white walkers would have to come after they take down the wall and destroy east watch.

That would make the threat real to her. I think it will end at kings landing with the death of cersei for sure and possibly Jamie as well. And kings landing falling to Dany.

word that could happen too, the only problem with that is at least half of the kings landing besieging army is sunk at sea, if the tyrells don't learn about that in time, that leaves them alone and with probably not enough people to lay siege to the city.

jamie and lord tarly might smash them right there, with jamie sallying out from the city and tarly crushing them from where he is coming from.

casterly rock will fall though.

but each of the past two seasons end with the white walkers in some fashion, couple seasons ago was hardhome, last season was bran and hodor

this season will probably be eastwatch falling and them coming through the wall

next season will be the full on battle probably

He goes back in time to stop the creation of the night king. The problem is the children of the forest are at war with the first men. The first men were savages using bronze and lacking magic, theyll see bran like yo wtf who is this dude, capture him and create the night king. This is after bran tries stopping the night king in other iterations of brandon stark. Bran the builder etc. Which is why hes older when turned

The night king/bran is on a mission to defeat the children of the forest, the last of which are on the isle of faces.

Its taken this long in history for a bran to be born to complete the cycle, the sea froze over like the pic poet posted and they cross there. He is going to get thereno matter what and killing humans is just an aside that gives him the numbers to actually make it there and then defeat the children.

Thats how the show will end. Humans are a sidenote. Essos is their continent.

The books will be different, this is just where theshow will go with it

Also i say the books will be different solely because the children didnt create the white walkers in the books. The white walkers were a part of the world prior to any wars with the first men.

In fact the nights king, was a stark commander of the nights watch who married a white walker female.

The books are most likely headed into this direction.

During the wars of the first men, the children and humans brokered peace by giving the forests to the children and the rest to man. They probably brokered a deal with the white walkers as well. They got everything north of the wall. They probably assisted in building the wall with their ice magic

Then thousands of years later there are hundreds of thousands of wildlings north of the wall, they probably allowed it, if you gave them sacrifices, like craster, this way they reproduce. But the wildlings reverted to the old gods and the hearttrees. So the white walkers see this as them breaking the treaty. So they are going to war

The children of the forests numbers are depleted, they have a longer history of being the white walkers enemies and their only hope for survival is by helping mankind defeat them. They are teaching bran the magic, in the books controlling flocks of ravens, etc. So that humans can bring beasts to battle on a large scale, as the white walkers bring the dead

The dialogue has been drastically better ever since they got past the books. I just finished a rewatch of the series. So much of the early season dialogue is exposition and proper nouns and world building. There's actual characterization now.

Last episode was dope. Jon and Dany meeting. Why complain? The subtle nods to Jon's parentage.

They had to yada yada the two battles because their entire budget went to the better wars/effects coming up.

The Tyrion voice over was effective because it underlined his lack of experience as a commander/false bravado and the underestimation of Cersei.

Just want to see dragons go full god-mode. Its what everyone has waited seven years for. Do it.
