Inside the PC, not too happy with the management still. *shrugs. Better than before but, ehh. Whatever, it'll stay like that for a while now. Second pic is with the glass panel on. Third pic is a the desk set up. I'm going to remodel my attic but that'll probably be after summer. |

also i don't know how i gamed on an hdd. nothing better than open world games like fallout basically loading instantly. when fallout 4 dropped i had it on my hdd, because my main ssd i was using solely for windows and shit (just a 125 gb). but i put in a big SSD for my games and music and programs. its ridiculous how much faster shit loads. fallout illustrated it best. the game would load before the load screen would finish loading lmao |
WTF!

Then I ended up hating it lol. Just waiting on my new desk chair to come Thursday |
word im due for a new one, mine isn't pretty to look at, at this point. but i learned over the years its better to invest in a good chair than anything lol. when' you fluctuate from 210-250 and sit like a retard its easy to put office chairs through the rigors of time
but i bought this 200 dollar one like 4 years ago AT LEAST and its still going strong. just the "leather" leather is kind of peeling from wear and tear. but i've broken plenty of chairs along my journey in wasting time at my desk through the years |
Do games really load faster on a SSD?
I mean, obviously it loads faster as far as start up time & whatnot but.. aren't games set with that certain 'loading/waiting' time or is that due to the hard drive you have it on?? I might just buy a SSD :) |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqoKUFGjFR0 Its basically just how quick your computer can load up the files, and. I remember reading how they work and forget now but basically an ssd can bring up files and shit much faster, so in a game like fallout where it has to have every resource available to create the open wotld around you, its just way faster at doing it With an hdd i would get loading screens running through the world lol. Like the game would pause for a second and keep loading. The sdd only has loading screens where they are meant to be and they are very brief Any game with tips and hints on loading screens you dont get enough time to really read anything lol |
The video doesn't show up on Netcees, I copied & pasted the link though.
There's so much debate in the comments. They're saying dude rigged the results, other people with the same drive aren't getting the same results. Also they're all mentioning little things that might change results, like.. the SSD being specifically for games, or the SSD having Windows/Programs/Games on it.. I still want the SSD prices to drop though. I would need like a terabyte if I do go the SSD route. |
It's worth it
|
yea i wouldn't just take the 1 videos word for it though, there are countless side by side comparisons
some games only load a couple seconds quicker, some games load a full minute quicker etc. ssd's are just all around faster at loading files then an hdd |

I need that shit too. I just bought this, best investment everrrr. https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon...._AC_SX430_.jpg |

Also not a fan of controllers personally but that would look sexy on a desk sitting charger

I just need some cable management shit. Maybe another USB Hub. Those things are clutch. |

I mean, it makes sense for first person shooters and whatever kind of game Starcraft/Age of Empires is, but besides that- a controller just makes sense. (Not a Steam controller though, their attempt was decent but not quite there yet) I dunno, playing Batman Arkham Origins felt weird with the Steam controller. It's "right stick" / mouse pad was hard to get the sensitivity for moving the camera around right. It was dope with the mouse, but steady left clicking for every hit got annoying/weird. It just feels more natural to me with a X Box One controller. PS: X Box One controller > PS4 controller |

But I prefer mouse and keyboard with everything but sports games and fighting games |

New headphones. Mouse mat. Little fake plant. New and better power strip with under desk mounting stuff. Little organizer for my drawing tablet and iPad so they aren't just laying around |
