U sound like an elitist arrogant douche bag who's read a couple articles online and now considers himself an expert. Talking down to ppl doesn't automatically make u smarter than them, it just makes u look like the aforementioned d-bag that u probably are.

Ur making a lot of hollow claims with no proof to back it up.

And I really don't care enough about the subject to argue further. I don't even know how I got sucked into this idiotic argument over minimum wage, I don't have a dog in this fight.

So with that I'll say good night, and ur blog sucks. And sherdog sucks. The UG is wayyy better.

And ur reading comprehension sucks. I said u think ur smarter than u are. Not that ur smarter than u think u are.

timeless 03-01-2016 01:51 AM

@oats and to answer your question, I don't follow politics, simply put. Sometimes I'll read an occasional article. All's I've gathered from every other person is that Sanders wants to raise taxes, legalize weed and that he's a genuine guy lol. Trump apparently is racist, wants to build a wall Israeli style and he's a dumb fuck. Clinton should be in jail from what I've gathered, I've read into the email quite a bit when it was first starting to come to light about a year ago or so. So basically, vote Trump right? He's like every other president we've ever had it seems, just more blunt with what he says.

I'd rather follow sports.

Sheep checking in.

oats 03-01-2016 01:57 AM

lol talk about projection. you sound like someone who has no idea what they're talking about and gets mad when they get too big for their britches around someone who does. I've made no hollow claims, I just don't care to link you to easily searchable data when you came in here high and mighty saying stupid shit addressed to me. you clearly care about the topic, you just don't know shit about it, which is fine. we all live and learn. well, at least some of us learn.

I'd also rather follow/talk about sports. just dragged myself into this, should've known better. no shame in not knowing about something, my policy is to not have a strong opinion unless I know what I'm talking about. clearly, that's not a universally shared idea.

We have reached an age where political trolling can actually be an effective jimmy rustler

This saddens me

uh-oh 03-01-2016 06:44 AM

@oats i dig your articles man keep making them.

I'll google later to see these huge hikes in minimum wage you speak of thats already happened. It is completely silly to pretend that it has a positive effect on small businesses tho when they have to pay their employees more on top of paying more in taxes to operate. Cutting taxes on mega corporations is whatever as well but we should be more focused on helping the small businesses.

I work for a dude who has 7 employees. The highest paid guy gets 24 an hour. I get 12 an hour, another 12 an hour, a 15 an hour, with the lowest guy making 10 an hour. No one gets minimum wage, and the owner was complaining about literally not paying himself last year because we only did 800k in business.

Now im no economist, but maybe you can explain how his business can survive if he has to pay everyone alot more money as well as pay more in taxes.

The only logical thing i can think of is raising the prices on the jobs we do to compensate which defeats the purpose, and if you think im going to stick around and work for 15 an hour doing back breaking work when i could be a wal mart greeter youd be wrong. So id need to make 20 an hour. The 24 an hour guy would need to make 45 an hour etc.

But hey maybe im wrong. I mean in the 70s the minimum wage adjusted for inflation is higher than it is now !!! Lol

But nah id love to see anything that makes it make sense.

Some businesses should fail. If you can't bring in enough revenue to pay your workers a fair wage, you shouldn't be in business. A more successful entrepreneur will take your spot.

That's how your supposedly championed "Free Market" works.

.. except for when it works against you, of course.

veritas 03-01-2016 10:30 AM

Still....Trump before Hillary right Bros?

The problem is we are getting fair wages. Which is why the federal mandated minimum wage is horse shit and ive been saying it should be regulated at a state level or even local level. Making it 15 an hour makes sense in a place where you literally cant survive off the 7.50. But in alot of america you absolutely can.

I completely agree that some businesses should fail, but it shouldnt be the government causing them to fail, thats the complete opposite of a free market, government basically intervening and telling you how to run your business.

veritas 03-01-2016 12:02 PM

I mean at least there is the POSSIBILITY that Trump will just act like the CEO of America and just hire competent people to run stuff while he takes all the credit? right?

Worst case scenario he builds a statue of himself on the white house lawn and drafts our women into becoming concubines...right?

No, you aren't getting fair wages. Inflation vs. pay point that out in a crystal clear chart. Corporate tax rates WWII to today clearly point out that robber barons are stealing you blind. You are being victimized into believing you're getting a honest dollar, when it's bullshit.

In your specific instance (since that's all you honestly care about and not the bigger picture), your employer is either paying you a fair wage and bitching that he can't afford it even though he can because he wants more money, or not paying you a fair wage and blaming the government rather than blaming himself for being a shitty revenue producer.

Trump is not a competent CEO in any of his ventures.

He has gotten by on licensing his brand and dividends from his daddy's money.

I've posted my pic several times broham. Let's end this lil squabble tho, ur beliefs are ur beliefs regardless of how idiotic they are.

I may not believe what ur saying but I'll die to defend ur right to say it. Not really, I just remember hearing that some where lol.

Seriously tho, how did u n @Bags come to be such good e-bff's with complete opposite views.

Destroyer 03-01-2016 12:48 PM

that would be fair if I had stated any beliefs in this thread, but I only stated facts. When you have a problem with facts, then I have a problem with that.

Witty 03-01-2016 01:23 PM

I can't stand Trump...he is vile in his beliefs and moronic in his statements, it would be a disaster for him to be president...BUT YET, a part of me wants it to happen, a completely illogical part of me, just to see what happens lol I guess part of me just wants to watch the world burn.

But yeah, he really can't be allowed to run a country lmao it's crazy this is even a debate.

veritas 03-01-2016 01:36 PM

Why can he not? I mean Obama never had a job in his life, he never ran anything? He was just a community organizer?

And I mean personality wise, his narcissism is just as great as any other president?

I don't understand your logic. Now I personally think he is shady, and he used to lobby for Hillary so blah, but he is still better than Hillary.

Fair?

But trump lobbied for hillary.

Trump has gone back and forth on everything ("the Muslims love me"/"deport the muslims"), most recently with taking the endorsement of the former kkk leader... He's donated to Clinton before but he's so volatile that anything from more than a week ago may or may not represent him, let alone a few years

In a way what you see as the contradiction is part of other's problem with him

Lol you miss the point. I am saying if he is so bad....and he lobbied for hillary how can you want to vote for hillary?

Witty 03-01-2016 07:05 PM

Personally, I dislike Hillary, and I don't trust her...her politics are basically republican-lite rather than democrat, but she is at least an accomplished diplomat.

No, I got the point. He's lobbied for and against Hilary among many other things. The problem is that he is that volatile. My biggest complaint is just that. He's done whatever was convenient to turn a buck, which is well and good in the free market but sure as hell isn't presidential

Is this the gotcha circular logic moment or the slightly condescending bowing out?
