i'm OF THE MIND that caffeine doesn't really do anything tho and its all a placebo

its part of the reason why i drink 4 cups of coffee in 1 giant plastic cup in the morning, and 2, 5 hour energies instead of 1. im not sure if they do anything at all. im still in a perpetual state of exhaustion from being a piece of shit on the reg

i like coffee in the morning tho, i smoke a ton of cigs and have a sore/dry throat and shit in the am. so a hot drink in the morning soothes it.

but as far as needing it energy wise i don't. i can drink coffee and go to sleep.

thats prolly just DEPRESSION THO SUP

I stopped drinking coffee for awhile. Not purposefully. I just kind of forget to drink it, I guess. Lasted for a few months. Then I remembered I drink coffee. Drank a few cups and was absolutely wired. A little jittery, like some people have said. That lasted a few days. Then my tolerance returned and I can drink coffee @ 8 P.M. and fall asleep a few hours later.

Try going a couple of weeks without coffee or energy drinks then jump back in. You'll see it's not a placebo effect. Although with your level of consumption you might experience withdrawals and once you return your body will just return to the state it's used to.

I recently drank an entire pot at IHOP at midnight thinking it was decaffeinated. I couldn't sleep until 6 a.m. and was jittery to the point of discomfort.

On days I don't work out, I do intermittent fasting until about 5pm, so I make coffee with a spoon of Manuka honey and a spoon of ***ao butter, with only a splash of milk.

When I do workout, I will be a bit more liberal with what goes in my coffee, just depends on what kind of coffee I make. Kona coffee gets honey crystals, Mexican coffee gets some brown sugar and cinnamon, etc.

dude. the coffee I make is absolute quality. I put ingredients lightly, to highlight the coffee flavor. I'd sound like an even bigger trendy, elitist fuck if I detailed the beans I use/how I make my coffee etc, but trust. To be fair, I have lots of free time in Korea, and people here really fucking love coffee. I'm a victim of circumstance.

when I fast, though, that coffee isn't much for taste, more for sustenance. I like the taste, but the description I get when others try it is often "jet fuel" or "battery acid."

from when I wake up (9-10am) until I feel like I need to eat, usually in the 4pm-6pm range. I feel really good about it tbh, always feel alert, productive and with a proper amount of energy. I recommend trying it out.

usually I eat twice - a bowl of oatmeal or a vega one shake to break the fast, snack on some almonds at work (I work 3pm-10pm), and when I get home I have some food - chicken, broccoli, eggplant, carrots, asparagus, mushrooms and avocados frequent the menu - around 11pm. I drink some tea, read a bit/dick around on the internet (like I'm doing now) and go to bed around 2am. pretty set routine tbh.

that's why I put ***ao butter in my coffee, has the fat content to keep you satiated. I sip on the coffee throughout the day.

I'm sure it works the other way as well, basically the same concept. it's bigger than just the fast, though. gotta have healthy support structures behind it. if you're mobbing burgers all day and then stop eating from 6pm to 10am, it will probably be negligible.

either way, I still recommend giving it a go.
