Can you speak on behalf of the man's lyricism? If you ask me, Jay Z is way more consistent than Eminem when it comes to his music. I rather to listen to Jay than Em's new shit. I wouldn't have said that around the time when Em's Marshal Mathers dropped. and to me, musically, this is his him at his best.

Jay Z vs. Eminem is such a tired debate. Two vastly different approaches to making hip hop music, both insanely dope imo. As far as consistency, idk, Em only has one album that is mediocre (Encore), and even on that album there are some A+ songs. His new shit is good/not great to me, but it's hard for me to knock it on anything except for that it's a little boring compared to his first three albums. Jay is a little more up and down from album to album to me, but he also has way more albums. So it's a wash in my eyes. Regardless, two of the GOATs, hard to respect anyone knocking either.
