was just curious what low/mid tier heads would be interested in being a part of it Mag is up tonight once Meth gets home, if he doesn't by 1:30 I'm just gonna drop it without his predictions. Bey told me he was gonna do some to but logged off AIM so eh. Will edit in theirs if they end up doing them I guess. also I wouldn't wait til the SC is done cus by the time I put it up there will be a small enough amount of ppl in it to mod very easily and do mags easily like I said this is for people who wouldn't be in the higher rounds of any normal tourney, so it'd be on the side while other things were going on. Just think we need some newer dudes making waves and they aren't going to battling each other in the BA |

I wish karaoke would die in a fire and karp n bey came on their own accord, they knew of the site for awhile and I know Bey lurked since it was AOB. Got home like 45 minutes ago.
Took care of NBL Stuff will do predictions now give me 20 minutes. |
A new ultimate writer would be dope. i need help on wording lol
|
Yes but make it small and be picky about who gets in. And only choose tutors/coaches who will actively participate.
Sharp went from newb to dope in a short space of time, if he says UW was helpful in that then it was worthwhile running it Maybe do 16 newbs 8 coaches. 2 newbs per coach...? |
Sharp nine is the proof. He should def be a mentor
Namix should be too cus he put serious commitment into last time. I think the final should be a tag match with final pupil and Mentor to keep mentors interested. |
Run this tourney Knuck.
More than half of this site is low to mid-tier writers. It'll improve their writing as well as give the upper cats more competition. And it will give the low/mid guys something to work towards and feel like their part of the site instead of ... @Bags to thread |
tag tourney
or crew tourney would be dope |
I'm down for whatever; all suggestions r cool

ULTIMATE WRITER IS FAGGY N NO ONE LISTENS ANYWAY
|
@God Of War that's not true - the only feedback I got was don't use that bar or that's shit lol no feedback on what's wrong with it but I listened an didn't use it ;)

i think i had a more meaningful impact on like 2-3 people who weren't on my team lol.
I'd consider taking a completely different approach to this.... rather a tournament, which is one-and-done and can be perceived as a "newbie" tournament -- some sort of model to measure (and reward) "elevation" overtime would be compelling... Like they come into a system where they are assigned a certain division (for simplicity/example sake, lets call it East/West/North/South), perhaps there are no official team leads assigned, but everyone is put into a division by default -- whether they do something with it or not, is up to them.... But if I, for example, was automatically assigned a division, I'd go out of my way to help out those dudes first (in theory) -- and overtime, the newbies which came up in that 'division' will (in theory) become the vets and continue to grow board engagement and writing skills across the board. This type of "learning model" is long-term/ongoing, does not require people to sign-up for a league/tourney, or risk wasting anyones time (to Bags' point, it takes away from other activity).... All reward and no risk, as the model is dynamic in terms of flexibility to change as months and years go on. "You get out what you put in". By simply assigning people to a "division" -- current members and new members a like -- it may be a good way for the 'community' to engage with each other....Over time, perhaps different divisions beef -- perhaps rivalries are born --- or perhaps certain divisions never take off, but after years of obscurity and coming in last at an annual/bi-annual ranking, a couple heads step up and turn it into something more.... Just a random thought on how I'd consider structuring something like this different --- i think this accomplishes the general altruistic goal of a 101 tourney, but allows that growth to come over time and be reevaluated on a semi-regular basis -- while allowing newbies and vets alike to partake, or ignore it... |
Nice shout @namix
