Why would he have fights?

The WHOLE terminology of martial arts and techniques were for Self Discipline and to be STRICTLY used as a self defence manoeuvre. There was NO need to have actual fights. He demonstrated, he proved it worked within those demonstrations AND scientifically. I don't understand why this concept is so hard to grasp.

It matters because for all the skills and technique you have its of no relevance until proven... When your in actual fight adrenalin kicks in, everything is different, it takes a lot of practice to be able to think straight calm and clearly to pull of his techniques under the real thing...
