haven't got around to watching the battle, but I give nothing but props to Detour for doing this shit, and I respect his opinion on the matter. It's the same reason why successful battlers flop as artists, because battle rap fans are fickle and have little, if any loyalty. Why do you think battlers can have millions of views, 10s of thousands of fans on fb or twitter, and when they make a solid EP/mixtape/album (to be fair, many do suck, but plenty are decent and better) they only sell hundreds of copies? Just how it is in the market, I suppose, you gotta work hard to maintain relevance with people.
