You j state your intent, then count backwards from 10-1 while affirming u are going deeper into a trance state each time. Then you can do a variety of techniques, I focus on one hand/foot alternately then the big thumb/finger for each. THen I state the purpose of my trance state and visualize a relaxing scene. After this I utilize the state for the purpose I have determined, usually seeing myself in the condition I would like to be in and feeling/acting out, seeing myself in 3rd person doing it. THen I count 5-1 to leave trance and affirm that it was successful
