What does that prove other than the fact two generations disagree, which is the same in every genre of music because you like what you grew up with, how does being older make them right? That's a pretty flawed argument seeing as how most people decide on which kind of music they are really fans of during those years, so if there is a huge and talented rapper like Eminem that is who they will go to first if they are fans of hip hop. Just as how Pac used to have that sort of status, he was the face of the genre, like it or not, Em was out spitting everybody, the stories he was telling and the unheard of and socially unacceptable lyrics he was writing, mixed with honesty and admittedly a pretty interesting personality at least to the extent that was shown, all of these things are what made him stand out, I honestly don't think he gets nearly enough credit for what he did for Hip Hop...this more than makes him one of the all time greats.

I think its unfair to say that eminem was the only person rapping about that type of shit, but the same can be said of those that deny the fact that eminem did it with a unique and eccentric type of personality that actually made the abrasive popular in the mainstream. Who the fuck was rapping like em? It couldve been another rapper out there saying some crazy shit, but it wouldnt have passed for very long because they wouldnt have had anywhere near the style of em.

I determine GOAT's by style yes, but right alongside that, influence, and Eminem is that if nothing else. Influential. Go back in time and take away the SSLP and MMLP and see if the game is the same. Thats what makes those albums classics to me. Eminem is top 5 rappers of all time to me.
