When he went to a 3-4 team with New England he got cut lol

Certain 12-08-2013 09:43 PM

Young Jerry Rice was not a possession receiver. Even old Jerry Rice wasn't really a possession receiver.

The only necessities on this team are Rice, Reggie White and Lawrence Taylor. Not having them is stupid.

If include Reggie White on the team in passing downs...

Since once again, 3-4 base defense.

Reggie White was substantially (25 to 30 pounds) bigger than Howie Long, played tackle as well as end and often played with three down linemen in Green Bay. And he was a monster on run defense as well as pass rushing. Bruce Smith or Dwight Freeney can be your situational edge rusher.

Correct your mistake and free yourself, young NotMeth.

Meth 12-08-2013 10:01 PM

I understand.

However is rather have someone who spent there entire career playing 3-4 in the 3-4 defense.

It's all love though. Him and Sapp inside if I'm running 4-3.

CtrlF4 12-08-2013 10:02 PM

Ultimately the problem with your entire team is that you have guys like Howie Long and Art Shell and Gene Upshaw and Dick Butkus who are 30-plus pounds underweight for their positions now. Are you trying to build a team of the greatest players or the greatest possible team? Those guys would get destroyed if I chose this year's All-Pro first team as my roster.

Swerve 12-08-2013 10:13 PM

Lane over Lott.

Graham over Tony G. Sorry, but this might be the point at which I am far more Saint than you are.

I'm okay with the rest.

Strikta 12-08-2013 10:26 PM

Why THE FUCK are ya'll in here talking about Adam Fartchuletout.

Smgdfhmfsbfmfs.

Anyone who put that scrub on their all time needs to never talk about pro ball EVER again.. rofl.

@uh-oh to confirm.

word

he plays pretty much every d-line position in the ravens 3-4 tho, but he's a natural DT in a 4-3 for sure

Oh, ur trolling. Gotcha.

Calvin Johnson needs to be on that team. Cut and dry.

Kind of funny how the Lions have two of the 10 best position players of all time and are, historically, so awful.

When you say that, do you mean two players who are among the 10 best at their positions or two of the 10 best players in NFL history?

PancakeBrah 12-09-2013 12:18 AM

Barry Sander's is a top 5 running back, and I am projecting that CJ will finish as a Top 5 WR with good health. There's no tight end in the Top 10 skill position (wr/rb/te) players. Thus, they're both Top 10 skill position players because math.

Certain 12-09-2013 12:32 AM

Ehh, the top 10 skill position players would be nine running backs and Jerry Rice, though.

And you omitted the word "skill," which is what confused me.

Butkus outweighs Ray Lewis...
So lol.

Shell and Upshaw are underweight, which I'm ok with and did think about. Shell wouldn't be giving up much weight in general match ups against 3-4 backers and 4-3 ends, however Upshaw would be giving up more significant weight differential. That's where his chemistry with Shell comes in, as well as his nastiness and smarts. Plus, you generally get more double teams inside, so help from Mike Webster is indeed great help, since Hutch at right guard isn't giving up weight.

Howie Long is 10-20 pounds less than some of the better 3-4 ends, so his athleticism, grit, determination and know how make that up for me easily.

I disagree with your nine runnerback contention.

I'm okay with the rest.

Of you run single back you gotta have a good blocking right end.

I don't think it's much of a stretch to say that Graham isn't that, lol.

However, has the potential, and body to be that.
