in all fairness God talks of his experience and gives others in the bible their direct experiences, but God himself didn't write the bible

the bible was written by humans who either heard of events straight from God or witness miracles, disasters etc

the language was where it was at that point in time, that has nothing to do with God directly

he didn't take a pen and write a book

that's why there are so many "contradictions" in the bible

they aren't exactly contradictions tho, just differences of perception

but that's a totally diff subject

but yea from a story telling aspect it may be too simplistic but in my opinion you can't avoid it. the bible had to be that way

the bible was much better as a widespread oral history

it help me understand how i'm to conduct myself while i'm yet alive
it has also given me a measure of understand of the spiritual forces at work
and a measure of understanding of judgement and what i'm allowed to judge and what i'm not to judge
i have also learned what happens after death

How about British monarchs claiming to be direct descendants of biblical figures used to be all over that stuff
