Luda is way better on features as well. T.I always sounds angry or depressed where Luda is upbeat and actually funny. Saying Luda is less lyrical makes me think you've never listened to a whole Luda album. Listen to war with god or one of my personal favorite tracks ever that he could never get the clearances for but shows some of that creativity and lyrical ability is called he-man off the prerelease therapy mixtape. |
Ludacris is a great guest rapper, on the level of Busta Rhymes in that department. But he's all charisma and punchlines. T.I. raps about a much, much wider array of topics. That versatility puts him above Ludacris.

Word, Ludacris is better than T.I.
No offense T.I GOAT arguers, don't get butthurt or anything TI is still pretty good. |
I can't think of a single Ludacris song with the topical depth of "Slide Show" or "Live in the Sky" or "Live Your Life" or "Dead and Gone" OTHER THAN "Runaway Love." That was a pleasant exception. Every song on his first three albums was "about money, hos and rims again."
I really like Ludacris, but he's one note. |

T.i. aint even top 5 goat of the south tbh.

Pimpin all over the world was my first favorite rap song

The Mount Rushmore of Southern rappers is easy: Andre 3000, Scarface, Bun B and Big Boi, who locked up his spot with his two solo albums. I think T.I. and Ludacris are in the discussion for that last spot in the top five, along with Killer Mike, Lil Wayne, Devin the Dude and Cee-Lo. I'm not counting Virginia as Southern, or Pusha T would be in there.

Jeezy and Pimp C are the promethizine and sprite chrisening your Rushmore
