I've been watching a lot of Deadwood lately and have begun implementing the speech of that time into my posting habits.

A lonely black man talked to me at the gym last night. He talked to everyone. It made me sad.

He didn't say so much as asked. I came into the gym and started my session. As I went to get a drink of water from the water fountain, as I'm wont to do between each set, I noticed him and a two other people talking. I thought they were gym buddies and thought nothing ever it. Then later on, while getting diesel, I noticed they had left and he was talking to someone else. He was a portly, kind faced black man. I thought it was a bit weird, but continued on. Later, we were in the same vicinity; me doing barbell rows, and him curling in the squat rack. I finished my set and so did he. Then he asked me when the gym closes. I told him it's 24 hours but after 10:30 you have to leave through the gym-only entrance. He thought that was cool. I placated and agreed. Then, after our next sets, which were again oddly synced together time-wise, he asked if Bucks, a local bar, was a cool place to go. I said yes, as I have frequented Bucks in the past and have had nothing less than an excellent time there, to include vagina. He replied that he might go there after the gym, but only for a few. He didn't want to get crazy, just wanted to have a few. Those were his exact words; he said he only wanted to get a few twice. I re-iterated that it was a good place to go and that they had a special going on tonight. He said thanks, thank you so much. Throughout all of our interactions he had this pained smile on his face. This was the last of our correspondence. As I was leaving, pumped, I saw him talking with a regular there, pained smile and all. I wept inside.
