smh.

This is not.true. you cant build.credit.if.your cresit cards are payed off..you may as well not have any credit cards then. Anyone will.tell you that to build credit.you do not.fully pay your cards off every month

Sharp 10-22-2019 09:15 AM

I have literally never heard that

boof 10-22-2019 12:07 PM

ouch is saying pay the entire balance right away to build credit

geno is saying make your full monthly payments to build credit

diode saying keeping a balance means you pay interest, which is true, but obviously anyone that uses their credit card for something is going to take time to pay it off, which obviously means paying some interest.

geno was not saying to extend your payments as long as possible, only to pay your payments to build credit as opposed to paying it all off right away which wouldn't build credit

Ghost1 10-22-2019 04:22 PM

And ghost1 is saying whoever live close to ouch should rob him tho

Ouch 10-23-2019 06:51 AM

what im saying is.. I got a bank account...8k in it on average... PNC

I have 2 pnc credit card accounts... 1k each

all of the sudden I got flooded with credit card offers.. and me being someone who grew up poor and not knowing about it, I applied online for all of them.

now I have discover card 4k limit 0% apr until april of next year

captial one still only $500 and another one for 10k limit.

I use each one of those cards for like... 17$ at taco bell... 32$ at shell for booze... and I pay it off the next day, I didn't realize that if you opened up a bunch of accounts in a short period of time it drops ya credit score

Ouch 10-23-2019 06:55 AM

and to get the cards of course I lied... when I filled the forms out it was like.. how much do you expect to make in the next year I put like 109k... what do you do for a living... self employed private contractor.. then they came in the mail...but again I was only doing that to boost my credit score because in the future I might need it to be a real person

no. i and everyone else with a stable income using credit cards for their rewards and bonuses and pay them off in full every month. which raises your credit score considerably more than keeping a balance. the point of good credit is to show you can pay off your debts.

paying it off all right away is exactly the best way to build credit.

Hush 10-23-2019 10:15 AM

I’m so confused

if i have a credit card and i use it to buy $300 worth of shit and i pay that $300 in full the next day that's going to raise my credit more than paying the monthly balance?

Ouch 10-23-2019 04:00 PM

and why do I care about my credit score... because even though i'm an adult.. i'm not a a very irresponsible one.. and soi I plan on being a responsible adult in the future that cridit score matters... it may be a far off thing... but I strive for it and I believe it will happen

Ouch 10-23-2019 04:02 PM

and also if things turn bad i'll run up that 20k in credit in shitty weekly motel bills and do all that if I have to... im not guessing that will happen but if it does.. fuck it im running all those credit cards

Pharaohs Army 10-23-2019 10:42 PM

no offense Geno but I don't know what planet you're on in this thread.

not the next day, but when the balance is due. that's literally the concept of credit.

"i will float you this money for x period of time but you have to pay it back by then or i start charging interest. and if you don't pay it back then i will tell everyone you can't be trusted as a credit/loan candidate"

uh-oh 10-24-2019 05:48 PM

my credit score is 569
