it was always categorized differently because people who would 'represent' long bar were always worse than the people who represented short bar. like, amen vs bags, bags would always win. stylistically, amen would claim he's short bar and transferred from long bar, but the only difference would be that he's not using hyphens or capping words, or weird stuff like that that i hate myself for reading. also, historically, long bar would use alot of filler, even though, for short bar, the previous bar before the actual punchline is in theory filler, or talking about how big their dick is or how the opponents wife is a slut, or some very very very very mediocre connection between the punchline bar.
