I remember u two discussing that he was a Satanist but that's different.
And you're right I agree, if you believe in God or the devil then by default the other is automatically included. It makes no sense to believe in one or not the other

God can exist without Satan

Satan cannot exist without god

Read some Augustine if ur in a philosophical mood

Now that's news to me and I'll need to read up on that before making any kind of conclusion. Can u give a quick summary to that tho?

Your first sentence is incorrect.

God can (and did) exist without Satan. According to the Bible. However without God there could be no Satan.

uh-oh 07-09-2018 09:45 PM

Is satan lucifer?

Who was the snake in the garden of eden?

Witty 07-09-2018 10:06 PM

My bad. I operate under the assumption that at least 33% of everything you say must be nonsense.

No.

The snake represents human choice, or free will.

Basically....

Good is good

Bad is the absence of good

So bad cannot exist without good

But good can exist without bad because it is the foundation

Say for instance light

Light is light

Darkness is the absence of light

Darkness cannot exist with out light

Light can exist without darkness

Apply it to god

God was the first and only eternal being outside of space and time....he created everything....and in turn created Satan.....

God is god

Satan is the absence of god

Satan cannot exist without god

God can exist without Satan

Yes. And the snake was also Satan/Lucifer/Abbadon/Beelzebub/Apollyon/Belial.

Jeesh not sure if I'm offended or flattered lmao

The reason the snake must be Satan is simple logic. The snake is urging others to disobey God's command, this is a sin..at this point in time the world and it's inhabitants are without sin...thus this snake must dwell somewhere other than earth and be capable of willfully disobeying God. The snake must be Satan.

Luciferianism basic tenets:

Lucifer was trying to help humanity by having them eat of the tree...to illuminate them.

God did not want that and punished him.

Lucifer isGood. God is not.

If you believe this you are mad.

I will contend with any and all as to why this is a poor choice.

Twodrop 07-09-2018 10:26 PM

why would 'illuminating' humanity be a bad choice, and has this happened or not?

Think I seen that one I'll double check

And as for if Lucifer and Satan are the same I think some say it's debateable...
Some think Satan was the agent for Lucifer... Or that Satan was the true bad guy but Lucifer caught the bad rap. There's all kinds of different versions I read about but they all resort back to one point and that's "Satan/Lucifer is actually a good guy/wants the best for Man)

Lucifer will ALWAYS hate man b.c we are made.in the image of God and he obviously hates god and his creations. Lucifers pride and ego is what got his ass kicked out for being a whiny bitch

Ok I see now. Since god is the creator god he can exist without Satan but Satan is not the creator god so therefore he can not exist unless god created him

Someone touched on it

Zues Jupiter Thor Baal Satan all the same person

Apollyon abaddon not Satan tho, just high demon also is Apollo and

The lower case g gods did the many name game, ancient cultures described the same deities by different names after big g God fucked up the languages for the tower of babel incident.

Also, that flick immortals plays off the fallen angels if you've seen it. Greek mythology describes the same war in heaven the bible talks about. The twenty angels who fell on mt hermon, mated with the women and the mighty men of renown were born the giants. The 20 angels each had 10 angels under them. The 200. Mt Hermon interestingly enough is home to Hermon hotel, the highest United Nations base in the world at the summit. At the mountains base is the temple of pan this in the city of Golan heights, Syrian territory but mostly Israeli occupied.
