In some states the ingredients aren't ummm fresh or a big staple to the region


For example . Montana

Seafood isn't huge out here n ppl eat imitation crab thinking its Dungeness in the fucking cake or whatever lol

I don't fw seafood thankfully

This is true to some extent. But the ingredients for a pizza or a steak sandwich aren't really rare items.

again i can't speak on the cheesesteak since im ignorant to it

but FRESH mozzarella, made in the shop, with sauce made in the shop, with dough made in the shop, with the ny water, and different flour/starter/etc makes a huge difference

sure anyone can make dough anywhere, and make sauce anywhere and even make their own mozzarella, but it ain't coming from the same sources, and you ain't making it the same way

i don't understand how this is even a debate?

its not even a discussion. i think you guys are hung up on the prices. which is understandable. i just have too much disposable income and have 0 problem wasting it on food i cant access here

Fuck knows I live in a city. I didn't realise how stark it is out there for resources .most things are available here I wouldn't have any problem getting almost everything that's been mentioned. It's not like high end products. Ive been round most of europe and in my experience most things you can execute to a very similar standard..

i can buy all the ingredients for a chinese food meal, like general tso's chicken, but you ain't gonna make it like a chinese place, its impossible.

I don't give a fuck dude, really it was just my two cents. I used to be a chef in my early twenties. Most places you eat out from buy from a combination of quality vs profit margins. They aren't buying the best stuff. if you say the only place you can get a philly cheese steak that taste as good as a philly cheese stake is philly, thats cool too.
