I can't even attack that argument.

I respect the fact u gave him his due props.

I mean...what artist IS consistent tho?

Certain 09-10-2016 11:11 PM

Gang Starr was wildly consistent, almost irrationally so. The reason for that was in no small part because they stuck with the formulas that worked. Both DJ Premier (on things like Jeru the Damaja's debut and MOP tracks) and Guru (on Jazzmatazz) experimented a lot outside the group. But when they got together, it was all about putting out the vintage stuff.

Uhh can you please factor in this catalogue we speak of was made pre 1996. Anything jay did after that was not directly in competition with pac.

If the dead dont get some kind of handicap then sure jay z the goat. But hes over 40 and got an extra 15+ years in the game since hes not around. And even if it was a fact jay the best by those standards pac still right up there with him.

I feel u...BUT

Guru never deviated from his home flow and Premier never strayed from his comfortable boom bap..

But yes....their work was utterly consistent.

Not that hard when u don't take risks tho...

McDonald's is consistent. You order a Big Mac anywhere in the world (that serves beef), and you get the same damn thing. Consistency doesn't equal quality, necessarily.

Certain 09-11-2016 01:00 AM

7. No More Pain
8. Heartz of Men
9. Life Goes On
10. Only God Can Judge Me
11. Tradin War Stories

probably my favorite pac song^

i like pretty much every single song off disc 2. granted the nostalgia factor is heavy because all eyes on me is one of the cds i had and bumped for years

shits dope as fuck. your opinion is wrong in this matter.

come the fuck on

Certain 09-11-2016 01:10 AM

There's no redeeming the number of bad guest spots on Disc 2. There's just not. 2Pac surrounded himself with a lot of bad rappers (and a few good rappers, most of whom showed up on Disc 1).

"Picture Me Rollin'" and "All Eyez on Me" are the best tracks on Disc 2, though. "Cant C Me" probably is third. But I mean there's a fucking E-40 verse on that shit.

uh-oh 09-11-2016 01:13 AM

literally everything on disc 2 SLAPS

people think jay z's dynasty album is trash because of all the guest spots. people are retarded

are the songs dope? thats all that matters

the guest spots on disc 2 don't effect any of it to me. im just not a fan of the bitch singers on it but ive already burned the verses in my mind so i can still enjoy those tracks too

shits dope.

Certain 09-11-2016 01:19 AM

You base your taste on nostalgia. "Thug Passion"? Really, though?

And as I've said before, I don't mind people calling 2Pac the greatest ever. To me, he and Jay Z are the starting point for that discussion. (I mean, there are only like 100 Notorious B.I.G. songs, simply not enough.) 2Pac and Jay Z both have plenty of shitty songs, though. For some people, hearing a 2Pac or Jay Z verse is good enough, and I can respect that. Shit, I kind of envy that.

uh-oh 09-11-2016 01:23 AM

shit bangs

the chick singers, like i said, are whatever

if you cant turn that shit all the way up and feel it we could never relate

Greed 09-11-2016 02:12 AM

He did have trash homies. Couldnt nobody really get on a song with him and blow him out the water anyways.

TeckNeek 09-11-2016 02:23 AM

consistant.... Big L

Certain 09-11-2016 02:29 AM

He never did another song with Ice Cube (though admittedly this was before 2Pac's prime and right while Cube was the best rapper in the world). Actually Ice-T kills this, too. All three verses are fire.
