Going into the California Primary, polls showed Bernie was leading NPP(No Party Preference) voters 57-23(+34), Hillary was leading Democratic voters 53-37(+16), overall it was 49-47.
646,220 people registered in the 45 days before the deadline.
The rules state that in California, if you wish to fill out the democratic ballot, you must be registered as a Democrat or NPP.
The article below is a story released June 3rd about a poll worker in Orange County reporting that in her training leading up to yesterday's primary, her and her 17 co-workers were given strict instructions to give NPP(No Party Preference) voters a Provisional Ballot if they requested a Democratic ticket..
If you don't know, 9 times out of 10 a provisional ballot is never counted.
So what happened?
"Update – it's getting worse. Almost every young person who comes in here to vote is not on the roster. We look online and it shows that they are registered and it tells them this is their polling place but they are not on my roster so I have to give them a provisional ballot."

"After working the polls today, I'm disappointed to say that I am thoroughly fucking disgusted at how this country conducts elections. I worked today on a poll team with 4 other people, only one of whom was competent to do the work.
Not to mention, we were forced to hand out dozens of provisional ballots (i.e. feel-good votes that aren't counted), because they literally had no polling place assigned by the state and/or because no mail ballot was sent to them. In other words, incompetence at the local, county, and state level.
Elections in the country are utter bullshit. What I saw today was that whoever is running a polling location has great power to shape the results of their precinct. A coordinated effort of scheming could easily steal the elections, and get away with it due to the extremely poor safeguards against cheating."

"UPDATE: They ended finding my name on a supplemental list. It took about an hour of me pushing and not giving up. 5 different people told me they did not see my name. Then they tried to send me to another location, I said NO, this is where I am supposed to be. I called the 1-800-481-VOTE number. They said they saw I was registered, but because my name was not on the list at the precinct I had vote using a provisional ballot. I told them no way! My vote WILL count, and I was sitting there until they figured this out... Fast forward an hour, Somehow, somewhere another list appeared and my name was on it. Don't give up! If I would have left after the 4th or 5th person told me I wasn't on the list, I would have not have voted. "
"Just voted. What a mess. Couldn't find my name even though I have been registered democrat for 40 years, even though the state website shows I am registered and eligible to vote in this election.
