There was a glitch on some island where you met some weird looking pokemon (Missingno.) and it put one of your items to 99. The item had to be in a certain spot, I think. Rare Candies were the items that gave you a free level up. Abused the fuck out of that and got my squad up to 99.

The glitch was you had to talk to one of the npc's and then swim up and down one of the islands.

Did okay on red and blue. Got em all on silver. Half heartedly played sapphire. They tried to switch em up again and i quit.
