Noone mentioned Pele itt? Yeah u should all stfu It's like watching a improv genius N that's comin from someone who barely watches football His skill is undeniable. N Ive seen all the ronaldis, messis n Maradona Ronaldo is just a thoroughbred. Machine Messi is a genius on the pitch Maradona sold his soul to Satan or something Pele is a lunatic/rain man Huge compliment |

He played in an era when there was no offside rule ffs. If we're talking players left out of the convo, let's talk about Zidane, and the Brazilian Ronaldo, plus Ronaldinho and Romario too. All of them were better than Pele. |
Not to mention Makelele who is THE most underrated player in history imo.
He's @Certain's type of player. Pretty much invented the CDM role, as it is utilized today. |
Ronaldinho has the best skills I've ever seen.
Pele is overrated. Maradona's the man. Messi's the GOAT. |

He was an artist as well as a player. Incredible talent. |
Also, his first touch was the best i've ever seen.
Instant control from any sort of pass. |
Also....George Best was up there with Maradona, Zidane and Messi.
Too bad he had the curse of the Irish....aka alcoholism :/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6FMev3I6NY |
best ripped apart shitty teams. zizou made Brazil look like a pub-team in his last tournament - at 34. all respect for best, self-destruction aside, he was a gifted dribbler, but not on the same tier. if you want criminally underrated, two names come to mind:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLdRu...M3WX7-&index=5 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVEcb...3WX7-&index=14 that messi compilation was beautiful, btw. i'll fallen out of love with football in the modern era and will probably only concede lionel's the objective goat in a decade when i can ruminate on his career, but zidane will endure as my personal favourite. i enjoy cruyff, too. |

Also, I do rate Beardsley highly, but Le Tissier was incredible, and as you say very underrated. Also, King Kenny? |
best did nothing wrong except probably drink a good deal of his potential away. in another era he may have thrived and been comparable to all-time greats but i think he is a touch overrated. he was definitely a player - but one of the greatest? not for me.
my eldest brother's a liverpool fan so i'm too familiar with all the anfield legends. fowler was a beast in his day. le tissier was a joy to watch, and beardsley was all class -- all three had flair to their games, too, something generally lacking in english players (with a few exceptions). |

Ah Fowler, the man they called God. If only we had a player like him last season :( |
lol. we have to strike a balance between god-given potential, accolades and overall performance though, otherwise we'd consider the recobas, denilsons, aimars, ortegas and cassanos of football's history, or careers like van basten's and ivan de la pena's plagued by injuries -- adriano had a wand for a left foot, for a season and a half. zlatan can pretty much do it all as a centre forward.
you're irish, i fully forgive your bias, just don't expect me to share it. i see best on a tier below the absolute top, but not miles off. |
It's coz Pele black
|
The op Messi vid an engs Zidane vid gave me the chills
Dope |
Ok u guys r right
Some of that shit Zidane wss doing was incredible His timing... Iono if his ball skills were the greatest but his game was cerebral. I can see that |
Excuse my ignorance. His ball skills are amazing
What I mEan is he looks as if he's just mind fucking everybody |
