good shit, @big baby. I def don't see Manny keeping Mayweather against the ropes consistently, and that's where he flourishes. It'll be a brilliant chess match, though.

The part about the jab being Mayweather's achilles is interesting, never considered that, but I can see how that makes sense. Floyd is such a matador in the ring, that a measured, jab-heavy approach could definitely be successful against him, as opposed to chasing him down and getting made a fool of.

If you didn't read the original article, I think you'd really enjoy it, basically about the stylistic lineage that Floyd is a part of, and the cultural and economic situations that the black code style stemmed from. As more of a casual boxing fan, admittedly, I learned a lot from reading it.

its too easy he says and he brings no discernible facts or viewpoints deemed relevant while getting obliterated itt cause he was tip toeing patronizingly around a fairweather definition because seahawks passed ball on the 1 yard line

stfu faggot youre embarrassing yourself and youve literally said nothing but lol, not reading, and its too easy

uh-oh 05-02-2015 11:21 PM

this was a dope article yo

also big baby is on point for once

i am basing that judgement on the fact that i know next to nothing. what i do know are mayweathers stats, the whole hitting and not getting hit ratios, the couple fights i seen of him, and the little i've seen of pacquiao however you spell his name

im not a big boxing fan, i grew up watching roy jones da god and wishing for mike tyson to be relevant again.

roy jones fell off. mike tyson never was what i wished he would be.

that said of the maybe 30 full boxing matches i've watched, (outside of like ali and foreman and other heavyweights on the old espn classic channel) floyd mayweather has impressed me the most, just because of the technical aspects of his fighting. i'm a fan of big dudes who kill eachother, yet MONEY always impressed me, by being impressive technically. it never came off boring to me or as running, but granted i was intrigued by his persona so i was excited watching them. i was looking for his counters and shit, i wasn't looking for a KO like i was used to

but yea after reading that article, watching vids linked and googling dudes mentioned i have a greater respect for floyd mayweathers style of fighting

He's rope a doped shoulder rolled in most of his fight against Cotto and made Maidana look like a damn fool. You're a fair weather faggot. Judah also didn't do shit. He won the first few rounds (as most aggressive fighters do against Mayweather) And lost the rest horribly and reverted to low blows and dirty fighting through out. The punch you're referring to was a slippage combination with a very light jab. His head didn't do anything. @Amen faggot lips. Art you try "running" for 14 second and see if you could evade a professional fighters punches. Your soft faggity NFL pick em ass would get demolished. Geno, also you're retarded and watch ESPN highlights and predictions. You don't know shit either, faggot. statistically, since most of you lebron dick riders love this particular aspect, Mayweather is literally about 200% more efficient than Ali or Leonard ever were. And he lands more while getting his less. He also lands more power punches to his opponents miss ratio. Yeah he's a runner. Stfu faggot. Mosley landed one hop cross that got lucky and stunned Mayweather. Mosley literally didn't land one more power blow
throughout the remaining 10 rounds. This is a Mosley who deconstructed Margarito that just deconstructed Cotto (albeit loaded gloves). Mayweather IMO is the greatest welterweight or arguably top three, easy. As for lightweight he didn't do much... flyweight though, even at the super weight limit was top five (so many greats) Dethroning Hernandez at fly was awesome. When he started with Castillo he started rocky but easily handled everyone until light welter where he started gaining notoriety. There are a ton of fighters who "run" but don't out score their opponents. If you want some Mike Tyson raw shit, you're basically the guy who are horrible at everything they do. Most people who downgrade Mayweather have no discernible talents and are at best top low tier at anything they do because they don't understand the spanning out and development of a skill. Art, Gloss, Are prime examples of low tier faggot. Respect the art and a master at work. Pacquiao also a top 10 welterweight (one of my fav soufpaws) is a prime example of development through weight classes. His right hand has developed so vast, along with his left, it's staggering how much he's developed to become a legend. Will be a great fight. But Pacquiao needs to learn even though they have his signature defence techniques "figured out" that Mayweather never takes the same route. And once he senses a level of fatigue kick in, he will go back to vintage pot shottinf Floyd and nasty power rights that I guarantee will stagger manny in the late rounds. Or atleast have manny moving at a much slower pace. Pacquiao has unreal stamina though, so this comes into question. On paper Floyd is better all around, but Mayweather is more suspectible to those lefts. Which I'm sure he'll take in. Pacquiao also isn't a really prominent jabber. Which surprisingly is mayweathers Achilles (if we were to pinpoint some sort of weakness) His jab is basically his left which Mayweather will evade and take advantage with counter rights. And watch for mayweathers signature check hook. which manny will get lured into when he tries to bully Mayweather into the ropes/corner. Mayweather will need to exchange close quarters, which will be intriguing cause Mayweather is a great close quarters fighter and Pacquiao is legendary for combinations against the ropes. Good fight but Mayweather should win, unless Pacquiao pulls out a knockout. I sense Mayweather might unlock some next level shit though with the way his training camp is going (absolutely brutal regimen) he stepped it up this time around and is completely focused. As is Pacquiao.

repped

i will memorize this so as to sound smart at the bar during the fight

thx bb

Closest May's been closed to getting his block rocked was against Zab Judah. Zab could have had that fight as well...
