I have a patient right now who every time I come on the unit she says: I'm being good! Hey I am doing good!

I tell her: if you are doing good you don't have to tell people.
Also doing good is its own reward not the validation yiu feel when others acknowledge you are doing good after you tell them without being asked.

Just want to inspire. (shrug)

I'M PROUD OF YOU PHIL.

i'm up to smoking almost 2 packs a day. no plans of ever quitting. at least for awhile.

my grandfather just passed away a couple weeks ago. he smoked unfiltered kools for 25 years way back in the day before quitting.

he lived to 90.

granted eventually quitting is what extended his life fasho. and being pretty affluent and living the rich life, controlling surroundings and eating like a king helped. but still

the point im making is i'm putting my eggs in the genetics basket.

granted my moms parents were probably unhealthy barbarians and i will die when i'm 41.

but who wants to be 90?
