and like u said his wasnt even a diss

so why they makin long ass verses?

Explain this to me

thats whats dope about it

everyone is entitled to opinions

but lamar dissed in what 4 bars? maybe 3? so saying them 3 lines was better then entire verses from some of the heavy spitters is dope

i didnt say lamar lost i said id like to see him actually come back now and actually drop an entire diss track

that would be the correct thing to do

shit cass even called him a fag that requires a response lol

Agreed...just wait till he respond cause these nigga dropping tracks and not being mentioned is putting them at a disadvantage if lamar come correct.

I listened to all the responses I could find. Here's how I rank them:

1. Joell Ortiz: He came the hardest, all punchlines and viciousness. Plus he gets bonus points for being first.
2. Cassidy: Battling is his forte, but I thought his scratchy voice blended with the beat too much.
3. J.R. Writer: This was standard J.R.: all punchlines, all the time.
4. Lupe Fiasco: I loved his vocal impression and thought his was the most listenable, but his lyrics lacked.
5. Fred the Godson: This was a pretty strong battle verse from a lower-tier rapper.
6. Mickey Factz: He kind of surprised me with this one.
7. Mysonne: He had a brash delivery and direct attack but didn't have a whole lot of creativity.
8. Los: His flow is ridiculous and he came hard, but his punchlines just weren't cut out for the elite.
9. Ransom: No punchlines or personals, but the flow was nice and hard.
10. Astro: He's like 15. But he had a few good lines.
11. Iman Shumpert: He's still the best NBA player/rapper, but this wasn't his best.
12. B.o.B: What the fuck was that? You're not a battle rapper. You're not a New Yorker. Go home.

I think it's unfair to compare Kendrick Lamar's original track because he didn't diss anyone who has responded and he wasn't dissing anyone he named. I'd love if he took names though and came at all these guys with a 10-minute cut called "God of War."

mysonne one of my fav under rated rappers

his verse was fire as fuck

God Of War 08-15-2013 03:29 AM

while u was riding around high in ur moms mini van
i was driving around with hammers riding for my city fam

v/mysonne

Greed 08-15-2013 03:30 AM

K dot my nigga but that verse was sub par. Big seans was also whatever for the most part.

Appreciate the effort to ignite rivalry but this is out of proportion.

Cassidy is wack as fuck and after the meek mill diss(es) I don't wanna hear shit he got to say on this. The nigga is irrelevant outside of battle rap anyways.

That was the best line in his verse by far. It was a good line. So far, though, Joell Ortiz, Cassidy and J.R. Writer are easily the best.

yeah i have to agree with you

tho i think mys had a nasty ass verse but he approached it differently imo instead of really dissing lamar he spoke to em lol

Orc 08-15-2013 08:55 AM

lamar made me interested in rap again. the dude won

Orc 08-15-2013 09:47 AM

cassidy was dopee

Chyeahhh!!! 08-15-2013 10:41 AM

it's the message being conveyed by Lamar, not a diss. You can't measure a message to the culture or the masses up against a diss and vice versa. Lamar was challenging the culture, not challenging mc's specifically. It's a call to arms to step up but at the same time he's making it a point to say "ya'll fell off and I'm on ya'll assess and passing you"

Nefarious 08-15-2013 12:21 PM

Mac Miller just happy Kendrick called him a nigga.
