I've been wondering about this for some time now. What's wrong with waffles? And since you've chosen the pancake instead, explain your perfect pancake please. I am a pancake jedi on the weekends when I get my brunch on with ma frens. I'm just curious

PancakeBrah 03-01-2014 04:34 PM

I'm no Pancake connoisseur. I just like a regular old skillet flapjack with syrup. No berries and shit. Give me the uncut realness, the straight dope.

Word the fuck up. Represent, son.

I might take some chocolate chips if you have them, though.

timeless 03-01-2014 04:36 PM

Reeses pancakes are the best.

Always crush a few up then mix up, then put a whole reese cup in the middle of the pancake. Best ever, soak it in syrup in better. Fat for days

dyedinthewool 03-01-2014 04:41 PM

^ bunch a rookies!

dyedinthewool 03-01-2014 04:42 PM

Lemon ricotta pancakes with blackberry compote? Bomb

But good old little silver dollars with syrup on a Sunday morning makes me sooooo happy

Which matches? I think they're absolute genius. Oh.. I met kasparov.

PancakeBrah 03-01-2014 11:34 PM

Kasparov vs. Deep Blue 2
Fischer vs. Byrne
Tal vs. Fischer

A bunch of others. Probably 20 matches total and some on chess theory.

I don't play the game but it's fascinating to watch the breakdowns and realize the complexity and foresight Grandmasters have. Interesting stuff.

big baby 03-01-2014 11:56 PM

Fischer had some interesting matches. A pity to see a legend like him being elbowed out by other upcoming champs like Kas. Also a shame they never played.

Certain 03-02-2014 12:16 AM

It's long and might not even be the best article written about Bobby Fischer (Brad Darrach's 1972 article in Playboy, which was elongated into Bobby Fischer Against the World and isn't available online in full, is a classic), but William Nack's article on trying to find Fischer in 1985 is pretty fucking tremendous.
