So, in a situation where one battler may mistake another battler as yet another battler, and then write bars against said third battler in a verse, we are faced with two options. One, look at the bars and be like “well, that’s written towards another battler, who isn’t here, so this bar is automatically trash.” Or, we can take the slightly more evolved stance of “hey, I can judge this bar as though it was the guy he thinks he’s writing against, and just look at the overall content and quality of the bar while I ponder my vote. That way, we have a battle that isn’t just going to end one sided because of a small error in alias judgement.”
