Slim Thug kills it sometimes. I put him on the Young Jeezy level where, when the beat is right, he can just roll in and own it. But then he can't make an entire good album.

Check out Grey Skies by Crooked Lettaz (David Banner & Kamakaze). It's probably the best down south album you've never heard of. Came out in 1999. Copped it when it first came out and it stayed in the cd player of my ride all that year. Just revisited a few tracks they have on youtube to reminisce and they still go.
