Probably, but I don't know how I can ''manipulate'' myself that way. Perhaps using similar methods they use for ppl with gambling addictions and irrational fears? Kinda far out there tho.. Either way I shouldn't care as much as I do, it isn't healthy.

So you are an approval junkie?

For example that your problem isn't really that big of a problem and talking further on it will only complicate it and make it worse as opposed to you just dealing with it as it is now. That, or he wants to see if it gets worse/better and how you're dealing with rejection. But I can't talk for Veritas, therapists got their own way of dealing with people and their issues. Depends solely on each person and how they choose to attack a certain problem.

I think its because he thinks I'm trolling.

I can't blame him for that, sometimes I'm not sure when I'm joking or being serious so it would be hypocritical of me to expect others to make that distinction.

Lol, I've never considered myself to be one or given it much thought, but when things are put in perspective I guess I am alltho i very rarely bring out the notion that I need approval from my peers. I guess this is extremely normal for most humans tho, but I think my issue is that I let it affect me to the point that I lose control over myself and feel disconnected from the world which has a snowball effect on my anxiety and may even trigger depressive episodes.. So ye, alltho it seemed minor to me at first, this seems to be the most natural thing to start working with tbh.

It's relatable but it doesn't really add to anything that hasn't already been said... You know what you should do. You should watch the norwegian movie ''The Bothersome Man.'' It's available on Netflix. Then we can sit down and have a decent conversation. On some accounts it's extremely relatable to my situation atm, and at some point in my life the movie was almost too heavy to watch cuz it depicted exactly how I felt, it also opens up a lot interesting topics on other stuff as well. It's open for interpretation, so either way it'll be a nice watch.
