Rubber Soul is actually one of my least favorite Beatles albums

it is basically a country album by british dudes

Witty 03-06-2014 03:57 PM

It's very much 1960s pop-rock. But even if it were country, would that preclude it from being great?

"Drive My Car" (the opener) and "Run for Your Life" (the closer) are among the more divisive Beatles songs. I like the former and love the latter, but they can alienate some people from the rest of Rubber Soul. "Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)," "Think for Yourself," "Nowhere Man," "I'm Looking Through You" and "In My Life" are incredible songs.

oats 03-06-2014 04:08 PM

I always liked abbey road best. Is that acceptable?

Hi, @fIG.

I don't understand

@Witty life is good. Haven't smoked in a few weeks out of good measure. My boners have increased in swollen appearance overall veiny-ness, so good things all around.

dyedinthewool 03-06-2014 06:41 PM

i couldn't help it. and now i am having biscoff and it's so hard to stop. @oats what in the sams fuck is in this?

Witty 03-06-2014 06:47 PM

Just googled bisoff, it looks amazing

oats 03-06-2014 07:39 PM

cookie butter is crack. if you live anywhere close to Trader Joes, their cookie butter is superior to biscoff. I personally prefer the crunchy cookie butter.

I'm 10 minutes away from one by metropolitan ave and woodhaven. I shall go there tomorrow. I got the biscoff at target and I struggled with crunchy or smooth. This cannot be a good thing. Why would they make something like this why

Certain 03-06-2014 07:54 PM

I'm listening to Reflektor for what probably will be the last time in a while, unless I like it more than I remembered. With that said, "Afterlife" still goes hard.

Second disk > First disk.

I've grown to dislike it.

I've restarted my Antlers obsession. A little Animal Collective and stuff.

It's without a doubt the worst Arcade Fire album, but there are some really interesting musical choices on it. If they had tightened it up a bit and focused and made it 48 minutes, like Funeral, it could have been great. But every song is too long, and there are a handful of songs well below their caliber.

I wish Split Eight was here to tell us that Arcade Fire is trash.
