@Diode, disqualifying patrown's vote is unreasonable, though. This is trickier for me because I'm involved, but Mike Wrecka runs this league. Still, patrown voted for you last round. His lashing out against you in Week 10 was silly, but it also was out of character. He's not the type to hold grudges.

Furthermore, his argument was based on your style. If we all disallowed votes from anyone who doesn't like our style, well, there'd be no more voters.

But really, what Mike Wrecka said is right: Disallowing votes is childish. We hadn't had a single instance of it all season. The playoffs shouldn't be different, and I apologize for my lapse in judgment last night.

Votes have been nullified in the past because they're shittily explained, or don't show evidence that the conclusion has been drawn by comparing specific aspects of the verses being judged.

A provision's always there, maybe unwritten, that obvious hate votes will be discarded. But it's really emergency measures in case something comes to light showing someone has been explicitly intending to vote against someone- and it's so egregious that action must be taken to preserve the integrity of the league.

I've read some deleted posts ITT that seem a little too... emotionally involved for a topical league. And some of the 'beef' in general has overstepped its bounds. Lmao. As Mike Wrecka said, there is no reason why any disagreement should factor into any vote and therefore there is no reason why any vote should be disqualified. The underlying cause of "disagreements" are why every battle doesn't end 15-0.

God forbid one of u niglets go off the deep end, it's the moderator's job to evaluate the validity or whatever of your votes. That's at our discretion. I'd say everyone in staff positions right now is both invested enough in the league and logical enough to figure this microconflict out.

One thing everyone fails to mention- if topical writers are truly passive aggressive enough to fabricate reasoning b/c of some sadistic sense of voter justice, then you are all already aware of each others partiality and have been accounting for it with normalized voter bias every week

If someone doesn't like your style, it is obviously a reflection on the approach and execution of your elaborations on topics, not a character assassination. @Diode , i assure you that i am not mad that you beat me. i obviously have much more pressing irl issues that i am dealing with. and beyond that, i never made it a goal to champ this league. i merely participated because i enjoy writing. but my main objective has always been to see this league run smoothly and grow expotentially.


I am currently without my laptop, which is being serviced and I just moved a few weeks ago which is the cause of my recent non participation. i apologize for that but it is what it is.
