I started in arcades so to me the stick is natural.. but from people I know who moved from pad to stick, is that it can be a tough transition.. but if you find yourself losing with the stick and want to go back to the pad - DON'T. I knew somebody said he actually would keep his pad in a whole other room, so that he would be less tempted to go get it when he would lose..

all I can say, is practice it up until you can get used to consistently doing special move inputs on both sides, then go to learning your most basic combos, then step up to advanced input tech like plinking, etc.
